The new aluminum hub design reduces frame weight by an additional 7 lbs. to 49 lbs. per 4:80 dollie side. Central lubrication system allows for equal greasing of the inner and outer bearings from a single point, eliminating the need to dismantle the hub in order to grease the bearings, or having to buy bearing buddies. Also unique in the design are reinforcement gussets which give each lightweight aluminum hub its inherent strength and 1,000 lb. load rating. As the hub is spinning while going down the road, these ten gussets double as cooling fins, drawing heat away from the body of the hub, thereby eliminating overheating and seized bearings. Additionally, the thermodynamic properties of aluminum over iron or steel allows for quicker cooling than carbon-based metals.

 

The new Aluminum Wheels are attractive and decrease weight even more, and the new Zinc Plating increases durability and protection against the elements.  Frames, frame components, Activator Bar, and Crossrails Ends are plated.
